Vicki Reinshagen, a nurse known for her steady and compassionate care, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, in her hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born on August 10, 1954, in Chattanooga. Vicki spent her life caring for others and was known for her kindness, generosity, and quiet sense of humor.
After graduating from the Erlanger Baroness School of Nursing in 1975, Vicki built a nursing career that lasted more than four decades. She spent much of her time at Erlanger, caring for patients in cardiac stepdown units and the catheterization lab, and later worked in case management and home health. Retirement in 2018 didn’t fully slow her down—she continued working in medical roles until 2024.
Outside of work, Vicki was deeply connected to her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved spending time with them. She made regular trips to Knoxville to be part of events and celebrations. She was also an avid reader who liked to stay informed about what was going on.
Vicki is survived by her children, Katherine Camp (Cayce) and Matthew Reinshagen (Niki), and her grandchildren: Nora Camp, Caleb Camp, Hannah Camp, Katie Reinshagen, Madison Reinshagen, Evelyn Reinshagen, Luke Reinshagen, Ryan Reinshagen, Hope Reinshagen, and Mercy Reinshagen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mona Sue Boydston and Elbert Boydston.
Vicki Reinshagen lived a life centered on caring for others. Those who knew her will remember her generosity and the way she made people feel looked after.
Her memorial service and visitation will be held at the Little Brown Church on Signal Mountain on May 30th, 2026 at 11 am.
