Nancy B. Hall (née Forbes), a resident of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3, 2026. Born on August 29, 1945, in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois, Nancy was the cherished daughter of Leslie and Eleanor Forbes.
On May 14, 1965, Nancy married Herman D. Hall, beginning a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends. Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her loving and caring nature, her kind heart, and her wonderful sense of humor. Always ready to lend a hand, she was a pillar of support and warmth to all who knew her.
Nancy found immense joy residing in Georgia, where she indulged in fishing in her pond and gathered regularly to play cards with family and friends. She shared countless hours of card games and laughter. Her fondness for Memorial Day gatherings and fishing tournaments highlighted her zest for life and bringing people together.
A creator of beauty in many forms, Nancy delighted in making diamond art pictures to gift to loved ones, reflecting her artistic spirit and generosity. Her love extended profoundly to animals; she took great pleasure in caring for her mini horses, chickens, and dogs, embodying her nurturing character.
Nancy’s family was the center of her world. She is survived by her husband, Herman Hall, and sister-in-law, Ann Lancaster; and her devoted children: Beth Hall (Short), Larry Short, Scott Hall, Pam Hall, and Bambi Hall (Ronald Schafer). Her legacy continues proudly through her grandchildren Brad Short, Jeffrey Short, (Katie Harvey) Edward Short, Caroline Short,(Willis Kaufman Casey Hall (Danielle), Corunity Hall, Nancy Wilson Rodgers (Nathan), Samuel Wilson, Amanda Schafer Cast (Daniel), Joshua Schafer (Jade), Brooke Schafer, Brittnie Hall, Jacob Robison, and Richard Griffith, as well as her great-grandchildren Gunner Hall, Welker Hall, Raylee Harvey, Lilly Wilson, Sophis Marie Wilson, Malicha Neville, Dragon Rodgers, Aurora Rain Rodgers, Thomas Harris, Victorie Harris, Coraline Harris, Asher Robison, Emma Robison, Hunter Griffith, Colton Griffith, Preston Griffith, Branttey Griffith, and Jordyn Griffith. Her family, blessed by her love and guidance, will carry her memory forward with profound respect and affection.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eleanor and Leslie Forbes; her brothers, Harlen Forbes, Jack Forbes, Bob Forbes, Richard Forbes, Walter Forbes, Eddie Forbes, Joe Forbes, and Bud Forbes; and her niece, Annette Forbes (Schmidt).
Nancy B. Hall's devotion to family, her kindness, and joy in life’s simple pleasures have left an indelible mark on all who had the fortune to know her. She will be deeply missed yet lovingly remembered for the warmth she shared and the enduring spirit she inspired.
