Johnny L. Jeffress, 63, passed away on March 11, 2026 at his home in Rossville, Georgia after a long battle with heart disease and multiple surgeries. During his illness he was cared for with great love and support by his brother-in-law, Jimmy Thomason, his children and Tyler Culver.
Johnny was born on November 1st, 1962 in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he attended East Ridge High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris C. Hill; his father, David Jeffress; his mother, Gloria Jean Hill; his brother, Dewayne Michael Floyd; his sister, Elisa Jeffress; and his best friend, Bo Stuckey.
Johnny is survived by his son, Andrew E. Jeffress; his daughters, Amber E. Jeffress (Tyler Z. Culver) and Jennifer M. Jeffress; and his son, Zackery A. Jeffress (Haley B. Bynum). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, his sister, Constance Jeffress, and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Thomason.
Johnny was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and never missed a Georgia football game. His favorite meal was breakfast. He took great pride in his family and in his home, always making sure his yard was well kept.
He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved to crack jokes whenever he had the chance, even up until his final days. Johnny spent the last six months at home under hospice care, where he remained strong and continued to fight while still doing whatever he could for family and friends.
In his recent days, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to 80s rock and country music. He also loved setting up a yard sale each summer, meeting new people, and connecting with fellow Georgia football fans.
Johnny will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
