Doris Ann Conklin, born on February 3, 1939, passed away on September 7, 2025, in Dalton, Georgia. Throughout her life, Doris exemplified strength, wit, and a sharp intelligence, along with a boundless capacity for love that she extended to everyone she met.

Doris had an impressive career, having worked for several notable companies throughout New York, including Smith Corona Typewriters, Cortland Crescent, Buckmee Mears, Cortland Ford, and George Banks Trucking. Her dedication and hard work were admired by many.

The joys of life were abundant for Doris. She found great pleasure in hobbies such as crocheting, reading, and taking leisurely car rides. She also enjoyed playing cards and cherished her time spent with family and friends. One of her beloved traditions was “Pie Monday,” a weekly gathering that brought together friends and loved ones over sweet treats. Additionally, Doris was a devoted member of the Crown Alliance Church, where she found community and fellowship.

Doris is survived by her loving brother, Arthur Clark, and her five daughters, Joyce Conklin, Cheryl Pytleski, Karen Wright, Faye Peek, and Gailmae (Wayne) Suite. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love through her 15 grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will always remember her fondly.

Doris was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Mary Clark, and her brothers Charlie (Mert) Clark, Gerald (Goldie) Clark, and Bob (Chick) Clark. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, William J. Wright Jr., and her grandson, Anthony J. Walker.

Her strong spirit and unwavering love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends at Crown Alliance Church at 1 Bellevue ave, Cortland, NY on November 2, 2025 at 2pm fallowed by a gathering to celebrate her life in the church basement.
