Charlene DeeAnn Burson

Charlene DeeAnn (Steele) Burson, was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Born on December 4, 1968, in Detroit, Michigan, she brought joy and laughter to everyone around her with her spirited personality. Charlene passed into the arms of Jesus on July 20, 2025, in Rossville, Georgia. She was known for her fierce love, infectious smile and welcoming nature.

She cherished her family immensely and found great joy in spending time with them, as well as with her adored puppies. One of her grandest adventures was the role of Nana to her granddaughter, Eleanor Holmes, whom she called “her heart”.

Charlene leaves behind her loving husband, Robert, and her children: Ashley (Dray) Holmes, Christian Carter, and Timothy Bottoms. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Steele, and her father, Arvil Hopson.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.

Services will be held on August 2nd, 2025 at Chattanooga First Church of the Nazarene located at 5455 North Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37411. Visitation will be from 1-3 with service to follow.
