Betty Tidmore

Betty Jo Tidmore, aged 84, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on August 19, 2025. Born on April 30, 1941, in Panama, Oklahoma, Betty lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and a profound love for her family.

With an accomplished career in the insurance business, Betty was well-respected in her field. Her commitment to her profession was only eclipsed by her devotion to community service, as evidenced by her active memberships in the Eastern Star and the Brainered Optimus Club.

Betty embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of curiosity. Her hobbies included a passion for shopping and an eagerness to discover new things, allowing her to find joy in everyday moments. She was an avid television watcher, cherishing the opportunity to stay connected with her favorite shows each day. Betty treasured the time spent with her friends, continually filling her life with laughter and meaningful connections. Most importantly, she took immense pride in her grandchildren, who were the true treasures of her heart.

Betty took immense pride in her family. She is survived by her sister Francis Bailey and her husband Olin Bailey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Her legacy also lives on through her son, Eric Tidmore, and daughter-in-law, Lizabeth Tidmore and beloved grandchildren: Tyler Tidmore and his wife Courtney, alongside Macy Tidmore, and Emmy Tidmore. Betty was further blessed with three great-granddaughters.

She is predeceased by her dear husband, William F. Tidmore, and her sister, Anna Rutledge of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through her strong relationships and undying love, Betty Jo Tidmore will be remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose spirit will forever be a guiding light to those who knew and loved her.
