Mandy Triplett, a cherished member of the Chattanooga community known for her compassionate spirit and unique career, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born on May 15, 1982, Mandy’s life was marked by her dedication to service, her love for animals, and a warm heart that touched many.
Mandy was a familiar and beloved presence in downtown Chattanooga, where she drove a horse-drawn carriage for years. Her role was more than just a job; it was a calling that allowed her to connect with people daily and share the charm of the city with residents and visitors alike. Beyond her work, Mandy’s generosity shone brightly—she found joy in helping those less fortunate than herself, demonstrating a kindness that defined her character.
Educated at Central High School, Mandy carried the lessons of her youth throughout her life. Her affection for animals was well known, with a whimsical exception—chickens were not among her favorites. This distinctive passion reflected a deep empathy and gentleness that extended beyond her love of creatures great and small.
Mandy is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Brackin, who stood by her side through life’s journey. She leaves behind her loving mother, June Ramey, and sister Debbie Triplett. The family circle further includes her brother Keith Bettis and his wife Stephanie Bettis; her daughters Shelby Long and her husband Brad Long, and Abigail Beasley; as well as her grandchildren Gracie Beasley and Bradley Long. Mandy had one niece Emily Howell and one great niece Hadley Howell, who carry forward her memory. She had one aunt, Karen Brown & husband Rich.
The family also remembers those who preceded Mandy in death: her father Jimmy Triplett, sister Rhonda Triplett, very special aunt Clarice Triplett, and nephew Chris Howell. She was also the granddaughter of Leopold and Margie Bettis, and Hershel and Edith Triplett, whose memories live on in the hearts of those who knew them.
Mandy Triplett’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love for community and family. Her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her, and she will be remembered with respect and admiration for the gentle strength she embodied.
